Anthropic Taps Accenture as First Embedded Evaluator to Support AI Slowdown Proposal

Anthropic has selected Accenture as its first embedded evaluator, a move that supports the AI slowdown proposal put forward by CEO Dario Amodei. The partnership is non-exclusive, and Anthropic plans to announce additional evaluators in the coming weeks. The initiative aligns with Amodei’s three-step proposal, published on September 12, which aims to slow the pace of AI development while safeguards are established. Amodei warned of potential catastrophic harm from rapid, unchecked AI advancement.

As an embedded evaluator, Accenture will work closely with Anthropic to assess and help implement measures that decelerate development in favor of safety. This collaboration marks a significant step in Anthropic’s efforts to balance innovation with risk mitigation.
