DSRV Becomes Institutional Validator on XDC Network, Strengthening Asia Focus

South Korea’s blockchain infrastructure firm DSRV has become an institutional masternode validator on the XDC Network, after quietly running a node on XDC’s mainnet for about a month. The move marks a notable addition to XDC’s validator roster, which already includes names like HashKey, Deutsche Telekom, Clear Street, and CertiK. DSRV manages nearly KRW 4 trillion in digital assets and operates validator nodes across over 70 networks. Its registration as a Virtual Asset Service Provider with South Korea’s Financial Intelligence Unit places it under active regulatory oversight, a factor that adds weight to its role as an institutional validator. The collaboration was first highlighted in July by SBI XDC Network APAC, a joint venture between SBI Holdings and TradeFinex Tech that has spent almost three years promoting XDC-based trade finance and enterprise solutions in the region. DSRV’s validator position is the first tangible result of that partnership. XDC has been steadily building institutional presence in Northeast Asia. NTT DOCOMO Global recently joined as a validator, and SBI Holdings has anchored XDC’s Japanese activities since December 2023. With DSRV, XDC now has institutional operators in both of Northeast Asia’s largest digital asset markets, supported by a financial anchor in SBI and an infrastructure anchor in DSRV.

“Across global financial markets, we are seeing growing momentum to bring blockchain technology into real-world financial infrastructure,” said ByeongYun Seo, Co-CEO of DSRV. “By joining XDC Network as a validator, DSRV will contribute to the network’s secure and reliable operation while exploring new opportunities to help institutions and enterprises adopt blockchain across South Korea, Japan, and the broader Asian market.” XDC’s leadership views the addition as a strategic step. “South Korea and Japan sit at the centre of our APAC strategy, and this validator addition is a clear step in deepening our roots across the region,” said Ritesh Kakkad, Co-Founder of XDC Network. “Our joint venture with SBI Holdings gave us a strong financial anchor in Japan, and validators like DSRV extend that presence into infrastructure and compliance, which is exactly the kind of depth we want to keep building across Asia.” While a single validator addition is unlikely to affect token prices, it reinforces XDC’s narrative of a consensus layer run by regulated, licensed operators. For a network focused on trade finance and real-world asset settlement, the identity of its validators is as important as the technology itself. DSRV’s arrival is another brick in that foundation.
